Blog year2008 in october is about ending poverty http://events.takingitglobal.org/20255 so we hope this week's syndication to 100 blogs will exponentialise to tens of thousands of blogs by then, with a little help from friends like you

sustainability club http://sustainabilityclub.com

social business club http://www.socialbusinessclub.net

collaboration cafe http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9nL_a0K97I

yunus 10000 http://yunus10000.com collaboration coordinators for youth dialogues in that city and between cities together with invitations to action specific to each video good news story - eg if you want microcredit to beat off big banks why not help any school try out micro credit with the world's simplest program small change, big changes - a microloanfoundation franchise

Peers across hemispheres and I are far more interested in ensuring that each of these intercity movements vetoes any uses of 20th c failing system methods that the majority of club coordinators -or where elected an honorary board - vote against, than prescribing revenue models.

OPEN SOURCING THE CLUBS
Obviously we should want coordinators to make a living out of work input whlst at the same time recognising that being a club coordinator is probably worth more than having many a professional qualification - or needs to become so if this world is to be sustainable. Equally where profits are repeatedly generated I assume we can find a way iof agreeing some sliding scale that should be contributed either to your favourite grassroots organsiation in bangladesh or to a small list of other potential grassroots partners of future capitalism which should probably need at least 75 of members refendum to confirm

I am very happy if people will negotiate what other rules they would need to want to participate as well as to clarify where they want diferent contant at the mother webs. The main web system I use costs $35 a year per web so its not difficult to imagine that major cties will also want to set up their own branch web or of course a free blog - either of which we will happily linmk from the top of the mother web.

Obviously some of our constitution needs double checking with for example the 100000 bangladeshi's and other Gandhians who are the main practical exemplar of the values we seek to network worldwide so that the future sustains 7 billion brilliant jobs and goodwill multiplying across all women, children and even men.

We wish to learn from each city's most successful ways of mobilising and cross-cultural celebration, as well as metods for ensuring that any action network actually reaches to those in most desperate need of its service. This is one of the big lessons of bangladeshi experience -reiterated by every micro-system designer in bangladesh we have interviewed - once a networks starts empowering the entrepreneur inside it will never get deeper than the deepest needsholders it begins with. This is a lesson that many global NGOs seem never to have begun to grade.

Dr Yunus of Grameen and microcredit and Nobel peace 2006 is setting cities and citiens around the world an interesting challenge. If he is passing through your city would you be able to find 1000 people who all wanted to collaborate with each other as well as him in empowering a good global world instead of the bad one currently compoundingSynonyms for good are win-win-win, sustainable, empowering every community up, one where hi-trust people transparently win over low-trustSo 2 questions:if Yunus was passing through Africa cities, which do you think would produce the most collaborative impactsif you are a twin national

http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2516276605 - eg living in a rich city but with family roots back in Africa - how ready is your big rich city to represent Africa interests when Yunus hosts his Forum 1000 there. My friends are particularly working on London and New York as 2 test cities; partly because a London University student spent the summer interning in Dhaka on this project. One intercity collaboration idea is collaboration cafe - see those we have already hosted and tell us at info@worldcitizen.tv if you want to replay one in your city or virtually http://worldcitizen.tv/_wsn/page4.html

Another collaboration idea is can we produce a good global idea to heroes, their projects and networks for humanity. Why do people all over the world know the top 10 sporstmen for 50 different sports but not top 10s for different vital issues of human sustainability? http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=5475184122

But the best truth about collaboration knowledge cities http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%2Bknowledge+%2Bcollaboration+%2Bcity&btnG=Google+Search in the 5 years that I have been searching the peoples and communities that weave them is that if any city does a great job in turning round a beter Global with Yunus we can all learn from what it did and work out how to invite the 1000 most relevant citizens when Yunus passes your way. http://grameen.tv/

Can I have 20+20 minutes of your time?

If you are going to
1. Only see TWO streamed videos this year
and
2. Only contribute just a LITTLE to the questions arised in this blog,

then

first

see

These videos from TED 2006!

Has the time arrived?

Time is relative, time is socially constructed, time is what we make it.

When you are ahead of time, or lagging, you are non-timed. It is all about timing, isn't it?

Or?

?

Is more important than

!

So - I ask the question for this blog here, for 2007:

Is it time to prepare for a 2008 mega-jam Open Space branded SOS?

Sustainability Open Space?

Is it time for us who wants to have millions contributing to the question I posed earlier on here on the blog to actually facilitate a pre-conference called SOSonSOS?

Sustainability Open Space on Sustainability Open Space?

In September 2007 week three or four for a last preparation chat virtually?

In October 2007 taking place? The SOSonSOS?

In October 2008 having the true Global Jamming of SOS?

Where do you find the Most Creative Class?

You answer, I listen.

How this works

Here is how sustainable world is making the news

Mail wcbn007@easynet.co.uk if you want to have space in this weblog to selct which bookmarks you see as mapping the most vital route towards sustainable world? Which are the routes 1 to sustainable world we all need to discuss until wwe seew how to interact project and other means towards them

In the old days' the megatrend schools of future historians 0 1 2 3 4 used to have to cut and paste newspapers to see what people were increasingly talking about with most pasion, curosity, vitality. These days we can do thsi so much more simply and authoriatively if we nserach and network together around sustainable world.

Value Networks

As a follow up to my posting on networks;
http://www.value-networks.com./index.html
seems to be a gateway from the "theoretical" approach by the "network scientists" to the "practical" applications, through the intermediary analysis of the "value network" in an organization.

Worth exploring, maybe.

Rich get richer - and sustaining networks

There seems to be an unavoidable "network law", with the recent network research, that the "rich get richer". This occurs in "scale-free networks", Alfredo-Laszlo Barabasi discovery after crawling the Internet back in 1999.

See reference for my network and networking research and applied "lens", see

http://www.squidoo.com/networking-lens

Relationships Matter, so do links, hubs and spokes.

I think this is essential to understand in order to sustain, and to have sustainable relationships, and also adding to the work of the good trust-flow of "goodwill networks". It takes deeper than deep approach, and I am awaiting to digest the newest book by Barabasi et al that just has been published.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scale-free_network is a good entry to digest from the collection of links I have on my lens over at Squidoo mentioned.

Anders

Sustainability Innovation - and Entrepreneurship - making the Future a Future

In the core of all -preneurial activities that has the association to the entre-, it is more and more commonly percieved in the legacy of Austrian economist Joseph Alois Schumpeter, that "Innovation" is a conceptual companion that is embedded in Entrepreneurship. And reaching a sustainable world using sustainability innovations -preneured thus forms the concept of "sustainopreneurship". Since this is a concept in its infancy, older cousins (or rather trajectoral parents) like "social entrepreneurship" and "eco-preneurship" have found their way a bit longer, following a mid-nineties emerging track record, still lacking the holistic view that sustainability implies (including all three major dimensions in merge and whole one-unity-or-nothing, the ecological, economical and social - unseparable).

Sustainability Innovation and Entrepreneurship = i. e. "Sustainopreneurship" is the core conceptual mash-up I explore, digest, develop and want to see growing. First and foremost by own action and applied practical sweaty hard work, and inspiring others to do the same.

I am firmly convinced that hard, sweaty, proximate-to-the-cause work to get an Innovation to get momentum, speed and result, by creating a sustainability business as in this case, is the only way to truly explore a validity and bearing of a concept, "sustainopreneurship" in this case, and especially its future route.

And the concept here at hand, presented, is my true conviction that it is the fastest route to create a sustainable world.

Thus my multi-level and multi-dimensional work in all routes of life to get that exploration further. This "conceptual research method" is an aspect of what I have taken to my heart in the concept of "enactive research", that takes hard-core action before making any kind of "theoretical abstraction" and contributing more to the "idea-world".

http://blogpoll.sustainopreneurship.biz showed some interest and interesting results by connecting this concept to five other key concepts "to make it further happen". The prospected eBooks eventually will merge into one more connected volume monograph. Not that the book in itself with the economics of "book publishing", especially nowadays, really make the best momentum of applied research and action associated to a concept. But as pointed out in the five links from Chris in his original posting with the futurists referred to, they all got down in the "history" by book-making. Still, exploring other media forms possible by information and communication technology innovation and application and their option to "get things going" is having that last option as an open end.

Now, I want to open up the table - or rather the space! - to digest all prospective Future Historians wanting to create a Sustainable World from Fiction to Fact, to attend an Open Space asking the question;

"How can we interact and innovate
to make even stronger waves of people/energy,
in order to reach the critical mass
for creating a sustainable world?"

No matter what way you got here to this blog, You Are Welcome!
Peace,
Anders

Hey I love David Attenborough - transparency declaration: when I was a nine year old his son was in the same school class as me. But how on earth is it that the BBC's senior observational reporter on nature, has left it so long to come out and question climate change http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/5012266.stm extract : Sir David:when we look at the graphs of rising ocean temperatures, rising carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and so on, we know that they are climbing far more steeply than can be accounted for by the natural oscillation of the weather."

Sir David, whose distinguished broadcasting career spans more than half a century, says everyone has a responsibility to act: "What people (must) do is to change their behaviour and their attitudes.

"If we do care about our grandchildren then we have to do something, and we have to demand that our governments do something.

His comments came as a UK parliamentary body, the All-Party Environment Group, issued a report labelling the government a "climate laggard" for its record on reducing emissions.

Sir David, whose natural history programmes have been watched by millions of people around the world, is the latest high-profile figure to say the world is facing a climate crisis.

The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams; the government's chief scientist Sir David King, and former Royal Society president Sir Robert May have all expressed public concern on the issue.

This week, former US Vice President Al Gore (all, news) has been at the Cannes Film Festival to promote a documentary on climate change.

Mr Gore told festival goers that the world was facing a "planetary emergency" due to global warming.

It is not David's fault that aftre 54 years as BBC's nature correspondent, but it is the disgrace of the BBC's system. Every journalist who could be capable of far the deepest questions of what's going on around humanity's world is muzzled by two forces:
never get into a political debate; this is the monopoly preserve of left versus right national politics. What XXXing nonsense; left versus right do not have any interest in the 10 greatest human crises impacting all peoples today; because like global warming they are worldwide and long term exponential crises where the people who are making 4 yearly left and right judgements within national bounadries are both the least rewarding and the least deep people on earth to want to hear a monopoly of answers from

the other muzzle is global business; that great externaliser of industry's deepest compound risk onto whatever community of people has least knowledge about the risk or can curry the least favours with the political powers that be

as a Scot I feel betrayed that the BBC funded by the peoples money should muzzle its deepest correspondents - the one's who can ask the biggest questions which the lives of our children most need open debates on; Tony Blair, who declares himself a media literate person, has to take the wooden spoon of shame (unless you have other nominations to post) for increasing the muzzle on the BBC - help us write to the governors and take back the BBC to be the world service for the people; and never muzzle a David again however greedy or speculative the golliaths may be
